Speaker: Martin Jarzebowski 


In this segment, Martin Jarzebowski, Federated Hermes’ Director of Responsible Investing, will discuss the growing trend of Environmental, Social, and Governance investing.

Martin will discuss what ESG is and isn’t, what authentic ESG integration looks like, and how engagement fits within the responsible investing landscape.

A question and answer session will follow for the audience to hear direct answers to their questions on this topic.


Martin Jarzebowski 

Martin Jarzebowski serves as director of responsible investing leading ESG integration

and active engagement across all Federated Hermes investment strategies and

asset classes company-wide. He is responsible for the design and build-out of the

Federated Hermes Responsible Investing Offi ce, advancing proprietary data analytics

and promoting ESG thought leadership across the industry.

During his more than 10 years with Federated Hermes, he has served as vice president,

portfolio manager and senior member of Federated Hermes Proxy Voting Committee

and Risk Management Committee. Martin is also an Adjunct Professor of Sustainable

Finance at the University of Rochester and standards advisory board member of the

Sustainability Accounting Standards Board (SASB).

Martin graduated from Cornell University magna cum laude with a bachelor’s degree

in applied economics, earned a master’s degree in corporate governance from the

London School of Economics (LSE) and completed a post-grad in advanced risk

management from the Yale School of Management. He is a CFA® charterholder and

FSA charterholder.
